AQUARIUS DRESS
Inspired by the 'Fen river crouch' near my home town, this symmetrical digital print dress features ripples from the water surface on a light rainy day giving the effect from the sunlight, a textured look. My vivid pallet comes from late spring flowers of purples, blues and hints of coral greens. Aquarius dress makes it the perfect, most comfortable BUT above all stylish for that extra special late summer evenings stroll along the beach. The dress is fully lined, made out of 100% light silk duppion fabric

EXO-SKELETON DRESS
With inspiration taken from red carpet events and the social occasions of Ascot and Henley, and as well as adding my own unique flare. This Black and White long dress features symmetrical skeletor lines along the sides of the garments, with small hipsters on the waist. Keeping in with the traditional, but with a modern twist. This Exo-Skeleton dress is fully lined and made only out of 100% silk for that special occasion.

THE SKELETOR DRESS
With inspiration taken from my Menswear AW10 collection 'Human Evolution'.
This Skeletor dress is made from silk cotton fabric, featured with symmetrical black pannel inserts as a nod to the bones in a more sophisticated way.
The dress has added flare from the waist down. Perfect for a party dress.

THE PLEATED DRESS
With inspiration taken from my Menswear SS11 collection. This pleated dress is made from silk cotton black fabric. Tailored for a modern women needs, this dress features underlay subtle pleats from the shoulders, with open pleats from the side waist down.

Arif Khan’s AW11 ‘HOMO Sapiens’ Collection is one that embodies pure empowerment as signature architectural style and striking tailored garments with detailed, sculptured contour design. Arif’s inspiration is taken from the unorthodox and revolutionized story of naturalized, Charles Darwin within the theory researched into the quote “ Evolution is not about progress, it’s about adaption”. (Charles Darwin).
The Armoured and animalistic capsule collection is made up of structural spines and tailored shirts with digital print quality that accentuates the male form which are paradoxically teamed up with softer edge pieces, to create a more diverse, wearable collection. Materials bring greater variation and new edge to menswear, as classic wools, exotic by-product leathers and sustainable printed silks. While the colour palette of icy whites, hints of cool coral greens, and creams where nudes are largely made up of muted tones, it is the skilfully designed and rather distinctive muscular, rib and back spine prints that enhances each inimitable garment.
